It's not always easy to share the impact that each and every donor makes when they partner with us in making sure the not so glamorous yet probably one of the most important things we do, spaying and neutering, vaccinating and micro-chipping animals proactively who otherwise would not have these needed procedures done.
This year we had an individual who is passionate about animal welfare and advocates for animals in our community take the time to see what we are doing at Operation Empty Cages and coming alongside us financially to help over 30+ animals receive no-cost spay and neuter procedures, vaccinations and micro-chipping through her sponsorship.
OEC would like to recognize Laura Serab for her generosity and willingness to sacrifice for the welfare of animals in our community. Laura donated her Christmas bonus to go towards our funding of no-cost spay and neuter services for people who otherwise could not afford the procedure. We could not do what we do without the generous support of people like Laura.
In 2019, we were able to provide spay and neuter procedures to over 125 animals. In just 6 years, one female dog and her offspring is able to produce up to 67,000 puppies that would need care. In just 7 years, one female cat and her offspring can produce over 370,000 kittens that would require care. I know these numbers are incredible, but this is why we do what we do.
Consider investing in OEC and making a difference like Laura Serab did. Every dollar helps and our goal this year is to help over 300 animals receive spay or neuter procedures. Join us on this mission.
